Want to Give Local Love this Holiday Season?

This Holiday season, BRWIA, the High Country Food Hub and the Local Food as Medicine (LocalFAM) program are partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield NC, Piedmont Custom Meats, Impact Health, Blowing Rock Cares, Casting Bread, Feeding Avery Families, and Food Lion of Blowing Rock to purchase and distribute local veggies and sausage plus delicious hams to our neighbors in need this holiday season.

Blue Cross Blue Shield NC has donated $4,000 towards this Local Love food program. BRWIA will match this amount with your donations made through the High Country Food Hub!

Please consider adding a donation to your Food Hub order to help folks gather around their holiday table with lots of Local Love this holiday season. By donating to Local Love for the Holidays, you directly support our work at Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture to help producers thrive and make local food accessible to all.

Donations will be used to purchase fresh produce and meat by our local producers, and hams supplied by our friends at Food Lion of Blowing Rock. Thanksgiving meal kits and hot meals will be distributed by our community food access partners, Casting Bread, Feeding Avery Families, and Blowing Rock Cares.

From now until Monday, December 9, your donations to the Local Love for the Holidays program will be matched dollar-for-dollar! Simply log in to your High Country Food Hub account, select your donation, and add it to your cart.
